Gradient partnering in the Buy Australian AI Partnership

Gradient Institute is proud to be a delivery partner in the Buy Australian AI Partnership, launched yesterday by Assistant Minister Dr Andrew Charlton MP and delivered by Stone & Chalk with the National AI Centre as Principal Sponsor, alongside ANZ, Commonwealth Bank, Cuscal Limited, NAB and Westpac as Founding Enterprise Partners.
As Dr Charlton put it at the launch:
We don't want the Australian option to miss out because it's not visible, because it's not at the table, because it didn't have that little bit of coaching it needed to get to the point where it could be trusted by a significant enterprise.
The Partnership creates a clearer pathway for Australian AI startups and scaleups to work with our top banking, insurance and superannuation institutions, supporting a national cohort with selected companies moving into an eight-week accelerator covering safe and responsible approaches to AI, regulatory requirements and enterprise procurement.
As our Chief Executive Bill Simpson-Young put it:
For those transformations to benefit Australians, we need a thriving local AI industry — one that develops and deploys AI technologies safely and responsibly.
We'll be bringing our expertise in safe and responsible AI to help Australian companies deliver solutions that earn the trust of the organisations adopting them and of the Australians affected by them.
The expressions of interest for startups and scaleups are open until 24 September: https://stoneandchalk.com.au/buy-australian-ai
